Während diese Veränderungen in anderen Ländern, wie etwa den USA, bereits gut dokumentiert sind, ist die Datenlage in der Schweiz noch recht mangelhaft.<br /><br />Wie sieht also der Medienwandel in der Schweiz aus? Treffen die häufig kolportierten Befunde über die Krise der traditionellen Print- und Rundfunkunternehmen und den Boom bei Internetfirmen auch für die Schweiz zu? Welche Schlussfolgerungen sind daraus zu ziehen?<br /><br />Studierende unseres Forschungsseminars haben die verfügbaren Statistiken über Veränderungen bei Massenmedien, Internet und Telekommunikation in der Schweiz zusammengetragen, damit gängige Thesen über die Auswirkungen des aktuellen Medienwandels überprüft und einige verblüffende Erkenntnisse zu einem Youtube-Video verarbeitet.<br /><br /><a href="http://mediachange.ch/news/26/" target="_blank" >Link zu Artikel</a>]]></content>

		<content type="text/html" mode="escaped"><![CDATA[<br /><br />Vimeo, ein bekanntes Video-Portal (ähnlich YouTube), bietet seit neustem einen HD-Kanal. Er bietet die Möglichkeit, Videos in HD-Auflösung hochzuladen und abzuspielen. Das Prinzip ist einfach: Lädt man ein Video mit der Auflösung 1280×720 hoch, wird automatisch ein HD-Video (Flash) generiert.<br />Über den Fullscreen-Button kann man sich die Videos in HD-Qualität anschauen. Ein Beispielvideo, das ich heruntergeladen habe, war mit einer Datenrate von ca. 1600 KBit/s erstellt (On2 VP6).<br />Leider können die Videos auf externen Webseiten jedoch nicht in HD-Auflösung integriert werden (”This video can be embedded, but will not be in HD quality.”)<br /><br /> <a href="http://vimeo.com/highdef/" target="_blank" >http://vimeo.com/highdef/</a>]]></content>
